Aoife update: we caught her very early into developing mastitis from milk stasis, given how early the kittens are taking to weaning. Not so bad she can’t nurse, since we saw the signs so early, but enough that she needs antibiotics and pain relief to clear it. So not ideal but not at all bad.
@ClaudetteK We’re unabashedly proud we caught it so early based on behavioral changes of a cat we knew only 6 weeks, and the slightest hints of early physical symptoms. That the kittens can continue to nurse if they want is a testament to our vigilance. 💅
