@edgren Actually it's just a workaround to deal with wrongly reported VPNs in Android. Is VPN requirement for syncing a thing? We're planning to overhaul required connection types for syncing at some time in the future.
@davx5app Oh, ok. Nope, VPN is not required for synching a thing. But if you are synching towards for an example Google, an VPN would be nice to not let them have your true IP address.
I use Baïkal on my own server so it's not "required" for me, but I do have "require VPN" on in FairEmail.
