@msquebanh Classic! They let you have music for your scan? Through a speaker, or were they not scanning your head, so you could have earbuds in?
I work in nuclear medicine, and I'm amazed that more people don't bring in music/podcasts to listen to. Our scans can easily run over an hour, depending on what we're looking at and if the docs need additional views or what not. Anything to help a person relax!
@cthulku@msquebanh For one of the MRI scans of my prostate, I made a iTunes playlist of songs c.3 minutes in length, ordered alphabetically by artists. This made it easy to know how much time had passed.
I'm now heading over to second xray area; one done, one more to go.
I gave a nurse one of my N95 masks to wear instead of the mask she had on. Just told her, - That blue mask isn't safe enough & it's making me anxious. I'm uncomfortable with masks that aren't minimum of N95 level. Please wear this N95 mask instead & we can talk more, after you put it on.
@veirling She thanked me for the mask & put it on in bathroom beside 2nd waiting room. I would've asked for a different nurse & filed a report on her, if there was any issues about protecting my own health & overall public health.
