The only difference between 1.000 KPW and 1.000 USD is that the latter one may get you a single roll of toilet paper and the latter one a whole boxtruck full of toilet paper because noone wants North Korean money but everyone knows they can get USD exchanged for more valuable currencies or IDK buy something with it.
@business In fact up until a few years ago #BurgerKing in #Germany did accept #USD besides #Euro - tho at a nominally bad exchange rate and they'd only give € in exchange but that was a thing.
They likely canceled that because Franchisees didn't like to deal with two currencies at the same time...
#Cryptocurrencies ain't that much different from trading #Forex - it's just an even riskier proposition but in the end the workflows ain't that differen from #Reuters and #Bloomberg-based #Trading Terminals...
@business Also every product that uses unrelated celebrity endorsement to advertise their stuff is not credible to me and I'll instantly refuse to buy that shit.
I mean: One would not listen to cooking advice from a gardener, so why should I listen to "#NotFinancialAdvice" by some sports celebrity...
@business Pretty shure these shitty #ads weren't shown in the #EU and espechally #Germany because they would've had to add giant disclaimers stating that the vast majority will loose money and that this is high-risk trading...
And I'm convinced #FTX never provided @BaFin with the mandatory marketing material they'd have to provide them in advance.
