It seems like it's not the UI or the usability, that get's people to leave #Mastodon nowadays but - small, yet vocal and totally not self-critical - parts of the community, that can't stop lecturing others about the #Fediverse and how to act/post/comment here or about what.
German Mastodon had the ridiculous debate about #Zoom, other parts similar stuff (scolding someone for #bw-photos... really?).
Maybe the recent update helps people get it together, otherwise it will get even quieter here.

There are BIPoC people on both sides of this mess. There are trans people on both sides of this discussion. There are BIPoC trans people on both sides of this dicussion. Stop erasing them.
We do need better safety systems on the fediverse, especially for black users.
The existence of shared blocklists is a testament to the fact that your community safety and moderation model is broken. I haveideas, and I'd love to work with any† fediverse software developers interested on building them or other federated moderation ideas. (Specifically with fediverse software developers, because most of these need to be baked in)
The whole thing with #Ro has proven one thing: that so-called "safe spaces" on #Mastodon were NEVER meant to be for anyone other than #white#LGTBQ people. Just look at all the #AntiBlack racism, showing that even #BlackTrans folks are not safe here.
#Whiteness is the only thing that provides any protection here. Offend a #WhitePerson, and prepare to get #fediblocked. Anything else is fair game.
Blanca Paloma gave an extraordinary vocal performance, and I loved the new violin intro. Unfortunately, however, I just can't really connect with this song. Maybe it does well with the juries but I can't see how it fares well with the public vote.
