@arstechnica #enshittification like this is why I’m steering clear of a lot of smart home tech. Reliability is also a problem and security is a MAJOR problem with locks.

@arstechnica killed my integration, they have no viable solution of their own, and removing HomeKit from their app nuked my Apple home. Another opener company should swoop in and pick up all their disgruntled users.

@arstechnica Just fallen victim to this. Now I have to buy a $50 Meross add-on to each of my “smart” garage door openers to have them work with HomeKit again
