@SrRochardBunson @skeletor The Tao Is Silent is written by a mathematician and has a good sense of humor. It’s a bit mind bending in places. And the extra discussion and examples are interesting and enlightening. It is not overly long.

If you like religious philosophy, and by extension philosophy in general, other interesting reads are Daniel Dennett’s Elbow Room which provides some rescue for the concept of free will and The View From Nowhere, a thought experiment.
