@golgaloth So glad to hear you are back home! I hate tests. Waiting for the results is difficult. Just take it one day at a time. And remember, so many strides have been made in the last 20 years that make many illnesses that once were serious very treatable. My mother was just diagnosed with lymphoma and the doctors are confident that she will have a complete recovery, and she is doing great! So happy to have met you on mastodon and hope we can continue to correspond!

Tulip toot for today.
When our grandson brought my car back, he took a little tour of the tulips, so we took some pictures.
A few more days and we will have a whole passel of new varieties.
Flowers are fun.

Pink and white tulip with a yellow center. Petals have fringed edges.
A pot of coral colored tulips. These are huge.

    This says something about GOP voters. 42% of likely Iowa Republican caucusgoers said Trump's remark about immigrants "poisoning the blood of our nation" made them more likely to support him.

    We need every vote in 2024 to combat this racism.

    @SrRochardBunson @skeletor The Tao Is Silent is written by a mathematician and has a good sense of humor. It’s a bit mind bending in places. And the extra discussion and examples are interesting and enlightening. It is not overly long.

    If you like religious philosophy, and by extension philosophy in general, other interesting reads are Daniel Dennett’s Elbow Room which provides some rescue for the concept of free will and The View From Nowhere, a thought experiment.
