@admin I don't recall the exact reason I ended up there, but it was a comment on a post on a user's home instance. I understand said user has blocked this mostr account, I assume that's why there's no tag.

@admin oh we've had the domain suspended here for months. We got nothing but trolls from there and given its proximity to spinster.xyz, that seems intentional. We generally do this with harassment, as it seems individual user or domain blocks function as a mute with anything that isn't Mastodon and merely hide the harassment from the OP.

@sidereal Right? Actually, all the mostr.pub accounts are like that b/c it's just a bridge to nostr, where the usernames are basically a public encryption key.

@sidereal nostr's supposed to be built from the ground up as a 'fReEsPeEcH' zone and the person who built the mostr bridge is also from that corner of fedi -- I get the impression that its sole purpose is trolling, so.. yes, definitely more trouble than it's worth 😏

Kind of seems like society at large has free speech pretty well covered because the only people complaining they're not getting free speech end up being harassers and pedophiles.

I was impressed the other day when I got a follow request.

Initially I was confused because I don’t have follow approvals turned on.

Then I saw the note saying something about moderators flagging the account or domain and that maybe I should have close look at the account before allowing a follow.

Needless to say after looking at the account I decided to block them.
