@milosz also do obsidian sync and this is the exception to self hosting everything. I use it on my iPad and iPhone a lot. I switch between a ton of devices 😅

@jahanson Many of you use it and are happy. I will stop overthinking and get it tomorrow, so I can move to other things.

Thank you all for the input. Maybe there are other people with similar dilemmas, so they can now read real opinions and decide.

@raineer Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am currently torn between git and official sync. I will play with git for a week or two and then decide which way to go.

Git sync is smooth on desktop, not mobile. It also allows me to keep everything in one place (gitlab instance) which I like. There is also couchdb plugin which I want to test as I had a great experience with couchdb database and InkDrop in the past.

@milosz I use self-hosted sync solutions for most everything, but I ended up making an exception for #obsidian.

It’s excellent on all platforms (I use it on mobile a lot) and it was an ongoing way to support development.

@raineer Just found Catalyst license. Nice. There is a lot of documentation to read :)
