davep,

In the ongoing attempts to fix my roof that was letting in water due to a hailstorm last year, I got a lot of preparatory work done yesterday with the help of a neighbour. A strong rope is across the roof and secured on the other side for safety, and I assembled a roof ladder using nuts and bolts rather than the dangerous pins that came with it and could have killed me last time I tried to use the roof ladder.

Got the new roof ladder up too. I want to quickly do two things. 1 - bring down the rest of the original roof ladder that stayed up after the rest detached and fell and 2 - drag the tarpaulin up and fix it in place after removing the new roof ladder. Going to take advantage of the good weather this morning to try to get it finished.
