I guess what my question presupposes is, maybe I could make this a reality.

"Ejecting Warp core" and indeed spitting out the batteries automaticly while someone in in the room and hear's 'em hitting the ground.

The tech must be more expensive than the license :D

@deusfigendi @minnfinn @Jamie @mikey @howiecohen @Anneheathen I mean the issue with that is the battery needs to be secure as if it came loose you wouldn't have a smoke alarm so you would probably want a rigged mechanical connection where failure in the system is the battery remains secure.

Also who wants a battery that just drops. Surly you want something to unscrew, something to lower then a big ejection with lights and Majel Barrett warning you that the warp core is critical.

@Bridgemakes @deusfigendi @minnfinn @Jamie @howiecohen @Anneheathen it could be configured to a natural magnet and an electro magnet used to cancel out. Then the ejection would only happen when the battery was too weak to counter the natural magnet.

But you're still talking about surprise disarming a fire alarm, so Bridges point stands...
