@villetakanen I don't feel this is a valid analogy. It tries to establish an equivalence between allowing developers to shoot themselves in the foot, and aiming the gun and pulling the trigger for them.
Seriously, how did they think this was better than using plain old classes with decorators? We had a good thing going, and then the core devs were like, nah, we know better. And then they showed the world how wrong they were.
