11 Jan: Do you use dream sequences in your work? How do you feel about them?

I do, but I try not to overdo it; I'm totally not a Freudian or Jungian, so their usual role is when some Big Boss wants to drop a very confidential briefing on a protagonist (with a hint to the reader that the Big Boss has some deeply scary abilities, b/c able to tamper with the protagonist's mind directly).

anthracite,

@cstross

Big boss also cares not for their employees’ work/life balance.

@cstross so the last page of TLLF isn’t going to be: “Bob woke up. ‘What a strange dream’, he exclaimed. The End.”??

@ndevenish I think I can safely promise you that "... and it was all a dream" is not how the Laundry Files ends. Especially as the New Management series is set in the same universe and starts after the end of the Laundry Files and everything is worse.

@cstross

readers of the Laundry series will find this very illuminating!
