One narrative I have simply no patience for anymore are people who see apps like Apollo, Tweetbot, or Twitterrific get screwed over by the platform they’re using and say something like, “well, this is what happens when you build a business on someone else’s platform. You gotta be smart.”

Friends, it is so hard to find success as a business, so if you find something that puts food on your table and makes you & your customers happy, you run with it.

@matt It's not much different from an employer/employee relationship. You're useful to the business until you aren't, at which point they get rid of you.

You're useful to YouTube/Reddit/Twitter until you aren’t.
