I feel like buses are vastly underappreciated in #urbanism circles. There are tons of videos on YouTube about Seattle's new light rail system, but virtually none about the bus system that serves over triple the number of riders
It makes sense, buses aren't new or exciting. Improvements are incremental and the problems haven't changed. It's not good content
As with their popularity with the poor, elderly, and disabled, what makes buses so useful is exactly what makes them so unglamorous
