This , I finally remembered to do the checkout of a massive cart that had been piling up over several months. Listening through things now, dropping some recommendations along the way: 👇

A really nice mix of and instruments.

The repetitiveness/variations of the same theme is a great peek into an aspect of composing that we don't often think about: The music we love and listen to every day might have ended up being (very) different. It just happened to be what it is, although several outcomes were possible when the artist set out on the creative journey.

Collaboration between @socool and @lehto

A comforting cup of downtempo.

A bunch of great, glitchy, electronic pop songs.

Laid back instrumental cowboy hiphop that makes me want to crank up the volume on the horse stereo and cruise through an almost abandoned wild west town in the late afternoon.

Not particularly easy listening. But a bunch of nice, quirky and slightly claustrophobic beats.

A heavy, electronic doomsday soundtrack to brighten up our miserable lives.

Solid synthpop like grandma used to hate it back in the 80's.

Beats and (mostly) spoken word, humourously exposing the absurdities of modern Western society.

A series of 3 releases. I first heard this in a car a while back and it didn't really catch my interest. After giving them a try in headphones, it turns out there's some really solid synthesizer and production work in there. Depth, a sprinkle of darkness, very Röyksoppy, but... More mature(?) than their early albums. Works for both intense listening and as something playing in the background while working on other things.

Although even more was in my cart, I'm concluding this with the Not What I Call relases, featuring various fediverse artists. A series of (mostly) electronic music pointing in a lot of directions.

A thing that struck me while going through this: So much of the music was by fedi people. I didn't intentionally go for that. But I find it quite cool! So many talented people here. Also outside music.
