selea,

Does Google Chrome really have text generation built in now?
Why are companies and society promoting a world where coming generation wont be able to do the most basic task, like writing a short text?

maz,

@selea In urban life there’s many basic skills that we don’t learn anymore. I don’t know that this bothers me as much as I’m bothered that I don’t know how to grow any foods myself. It seems like somewhat of a natural progression.

selea,

@maz

Learning how to communicate with other human beings is essential and has nothing to do with the progress from the industrial revolution

maz,

@selea I wouldn’t say I welcome this future, but I can imagine a world where instead of communicating purely as we are now, future people will parse every thought through some kind of tool before it goes out. It may even be beneficial; some people today find it very difficult to accurately convey how they feel through their words. But if they had access to a tool to help them hone down what they want to convey more meaningfully, I wouldn’t necessarily see it as a crutch.
