Ok, I take this as proof that I live in a simulation and my instance is currently experience a kernel panic.
There is simply no other explanation for everything that has happened in the last couple of years AND Elon Musks complete meltdown being considered as a prime example of great business strategies and transformation. That's just the cherry on top.

Christian i know you said you have no plans to keep Apollo but have you considered repurposing it into a Lemmy client app? I think your core following would switch anyways considering they only used reddit through Apollo.

@christianselig This confirms the that Elon's actions have been very popular with C-suite executives. They can now rebrand open contempt/mistreatment of their users and staff as "being like Elon."
This also reveals the obvious fact of wealth/corporate power having no correlation with intelligence nor business savviness.

@christianselig it's horrifying how tech CEOs watched Musk burn twitter to the ground and all reacted with "I've got to do that same thing!" because they got a vicarious thrill from Musk sticking it to Twitter's employees and users. What's money relative to showing your dominance over other stakeholders in your business?

He forgot musk has infinite money to burn and other businesses to prop up, so Twitter as an entity can afford to make losses as long as it is successful in pumping out propaganda that has a net benefit across his business portfolio. I wonder what businesses little Steve has that he can afford to run Reddit like it’s Twitter? Hipmunk?

If you want to talk deals, it’s either
a) I give freely into the public domain and expect everything to be in the public domain.
b) You pay people who add value and we all have a commercial relationship.
In some ways I’m pleased this control is exposed, but it didn’t have to be this way.
Astonishing that anyone thinks Musk's work at Twitter has been positive in any way. Even financially -- is that awful platform really going to start earning back the -- what -- $22bn he's lost on it so far?
