@DJDarren Well, I say nope, we have "Fatty Tuesday" on which we eat Semlor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semla?wprov=sfla1) which I guess is sort of related. But no pancakes anywhere 🙂

@DJDarren I think I answered ‘no’ but really, yes we do. The local churches have Shrove Tuesday pancake suppers.

@DJDarren Poland here, we have “Tłusty Czwartek” (Fat Thursday?) when we eat a lot of “pączki” (donuts with jam inside). Does it count?

@michal_zelazny @DJDarren we have pączki here in Connecticut US! Many polish immigrants settled here and you can get many flavors at the grocery store. Apple is my favorite.

I note this every year, but when I was at uni, my housemate Sean called it Batterflat Day, and as far as I’m concerned, that’s canon.
