Being in New York is weird. It reminds me how much I like being in New York while simultaneously reminding me how nice it is to mostly not be in New York. It’s kinda quantum that way.

(It also reminds me how much my husband forgets how badly being in New York affects him despite his claims that it doesn’t)

@wordshaper I’m also spending a lot of time in New York these days. I’m finding all that too, but mostly I’m finding that being in New York reminds me how much I like Philly. :)

@waltman I really, really like NYC, and when I worked here I actually enjoyed coming into the city each day. Also really appreciated leaving every evening.

Kinda forgot that — Boston is very much not the same. (But honestly nowhere is quite like manhattan)

@LinuxAndYarn @wordshaper Usually I go underground outside of Hoboken, and I don’t see daylight again until I’m at 168th and Broadway. Today I was up around 42nd St. in Midtown.

Washington Heights is a LOT quieter than Times Square.

@waltman @wordshaper Oh, I know. We lived there for six years. :)
