@decryption damn this spreadsheet is exactly what I need. If I move to Ballarat will need a car straight away and as much as I’d like something fun, something sensible (sadly) makes much more sense
This info + if a manual is available + power to weight + drive type would be perfection haha
@decryption will have a look at them! Drove a BYD Atto recently and liked it, and a Model 3 that I really didn’t. Ideally I’d be able to find something manual and small enough to be fun to drive on twisty roads, but still affordable to run as a daily. But that’s a big ask I think ha
@decryption in that case I’ll see if I can suss a test drive nearby or rent one for a day
Realistically would be between 10-15,000km a year, only need to go to Melb once a week and am looking for houses within walking distance of Ballarat station.
Would be used maybe 50/50 driving for fun vs driving for errands or work.
Have been oscillating between practical and fun but haven’t known how to work out cost of ownership like you have to try work out a comfy middle ground
@decryption@jac_kie_co FWIW I still badly miss my Golf Mk5 R32, even though it was cursed, mostly because it could set off car alarms by driving past - with the stock exhaust and tune.
