@Sheril My B-I-L lives in upstate NY and a neighbor's dog died from a tick bite. B-I-L mentions it's a result of warmer temperatures, changing climate and the guy whose dog died - anti science guy- insists there hasn't been any change in climate. My B-I-L is like dude, it's March. In upstate NY and your dog died of a tick bite. C'mon now.
@mjf_pro unfortunately no. I think this tick was well fed. There’s also a second I am having trouble removing bc its embedded and the puppy thinks tick removal is a game. I will try again when he’s sleepier.
@Sheril I have a suggestion for you that worked for me, my dog and my cat like gangbusters - Bravecto.
My spaniel had brown dog ticks, and they were all over the house, even in my bed! After one dose, the ticks disappeared. I gave her a second dose after 90 days just to be sure. We haven't seen one since.
Then Baby Cat came, with fleas. I gave the dog a Bravecto, and the fleas fled from the kitten, the dog and the house.
