@janhoglund@hamishb That United 35 flight from SFO to Narita didn't lose a tire, it lost a whole wheel on its left main landing gear. landed safely in LAX. (SFO was down to 1 runway so made sense to have it divert to an airport that could afford to lose a runway should the landing result in long time closure for "cleanup on runway 25 L". Landing uneventful, emergency vehicles went around plane didn't see damage (but saw one wheel was missing) than allowed tow truck to take plane to gate.
