This. This is so spot on. I could rant for days about the damage Thatcher & Reagan did to the world. People think Obama and the orange guy were consequential presidents - they weren't. They didn't really do anything much. We're still living in a Reagan/Thatcher world!
In fact you could argue that the failure of Obama to do anything much about the damage neoliberalism caused is a massive failure on his part. (Along with his many foreign policy blunders)
@bazscott Obama had failures, for sure. But being there, the single most damaging thing to his presidency were the 2010 midterms. Completely neutered his potential to have any agenda for the next 6 years.
