@travisfw if you're serious about trying to understand how organizations would work without capitalism might I recommend looking into the book "Brain Of The Firm" by Stafford Beer. It's his work on cybernetics that went into Project Cybersyn and Allende's Chile. I've seen references that Mondragon in Spain uses this model at scale.

I've heard of Sociocracy, but haven't heard of people practicing. Or even talking about it, really. But I will try to get into those conversations, thanks. Glad you reminded me.

@travisfw Depends, but for us it's bringing work in as a collaborator and then applying for membership once we've worked together a bit.

Bringing work in is important to weed out people just looking for a 'job'.

Over and above that, hang out at the forums of places like coops.tech, workers.coop, and patio.coop 🙂
