Going out to eat is a rare thing for me as while I have the cash for it's often my social battery which is insufficiently charged most days! Culver's is a new burger chain from Wisconsin and I've heard good things about it.

The Harvest Veggie Burger is really good! (I got my food while typing!). Its one of the few places that uses chickpeas as the bulk of this patty! Wisconsin cheeses, portobello mushrooms, roasted corn, peppers, and spinach are the other ingredients. I'll come back.

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds If you can, I'd recommend checking out their cheese curds or ice cream treats, too - delicious!

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds hearing Culver’s being new is crazy to me as I’ve been eating there for years haha I don’t go as often as I used to but I’m glad you were able to try it!

@ayysturg Yeah, as a native it would be an odd statement for you to read randomly on Mastodon!

I'm glad I was able to partake in the simple but great Culver's interpretation of a burger. Those fries were crisp and fluffy on the inside. I'll be trying other menu items over time. I'm surprised they opened a store in Kansas, particularly my small city!

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds oh I’m no Wisconsin native haha they just infiltrated my state a while ago

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds Very nice! When I want a burger, it's got to be a beef one. I really love them. I've done the vegetarian thing for at least two years, and I lost a shit load of weight (along with walking), but I wasn't happy the entire time...

@wendigo Fair, though any chain which has a vegan or vegetarian burger is often the first I try! Being a vegetarian or vegan isn't for everyone, so I understand why you're no longer one.

I am a mostly plant based person but I still eat meat often but never too much. You can easily lose a ton of weigh on a vegetarian diet, but diverse eating tailored to ones need+exercise is the best long term solution!
