I worked for a micromanager. They are deeply insecure, know they're in over their heads, and they think micromanaging makes them look like they are in control.
What is actually shows is their deep insecurity about their competence, and their fear of being found out.
She is in way over her head and everything she's done demonstrates her insecurity about her incompetence.
