Do not, under any circumstances, sign up with T-Mobile if you can avoid it. After 15 (yes, you read that right FIFTEEN) years of continuous service with them I had to switch carriers because their network is unusable in my new home, and now they're trying to squeeze a final $100 out of me with some bullshit billing, after they lied to me on the phone and told me what my final bill amount would be.

zulteric,

@etherdiver I came back to tmobile because of a nightmare I had with xfinity. I noticed things had really changed at tmobile however. The attitudes and everything seemed disorganized, where as before they solved issues with a lot of pop. When I was with them before if you called customer service the person you talked with was (regional) to your location and not overseas. That is no longer the case I guess.

@zulteric they're all terrible, all you can do is bounce around and try to find the least terrible one at any given time

@etherdiver I've not had to contact them recently, but they do seem less reliable after they merged with Sprint.

@Melpomene I'd never had any real issue with them until now. I'm just pissed they're trying to milk a final $100 out of me after a literal decade and a half. I can't always keep myself from being ripped off but I can goddamn sure make it unpleasant.

@etherdiver That's terrible, I am sorry. I've had similar experiences with other providers; Verizon tends to be the literal worst for me.

Well.

KLM. But they're not a telco.

Aaand they can't resolve it over the phone because I don't remember a PIN that I supposedly set up 15 years ago (surprise) so I have to go into the store and yell at some poor retail bastards to try to get it resolved.

My guess is they're going to end up refusing to lower it because apparently 15 years of customer loyalty is worth less than $100 to them.

Fuck #TMobile
