@VE2UWY I gave them that as an option, but this is for a communications professionals panel, so they probably were hoping for something more professional looking
@MLE_online You're definitely not the only one without a Linkedin account. I refuse to set up an account with a business that at one point was spamming me insistently, without me even having ever had an account there.
@MLE_online Also, if they did not let you know about that early enough, I'd be a bit frustrated, that's the kind of thing they should state early if it's not optional.
But, of course, if they have the "everyone's on linkedin" mindset, they'll not see the issue with that.
@bytex64@MLE_online I intentionally avoided companies that were fixated on LinkedIn when I was looking for a job. I don't give out my LinkedIn, as I never want to log in to LinkedIn (they seem to take it as permission to start spamming me again after all the effort I put into making them stop). But, nearly all the C-levels are new since I joined, and they seem very into LinkedIn. I dunno what it is about management and liking LinkedIn. Business brain worms.
@MLE_online Headshots for a job that doesn't directly revolve around one's physical appearance (like modelling or acting) will always be EXTREMELY weird to me. Who started this trend?!?
Neither headshots nor Creepy Facebook do I own. Were I asked, I’d honestly consider giving them a fake mugshot and a random link to someone’s onlyfans account.
