The first negative I've discovered about the TH-D75A is a personal one: the official and RT Systems software is all Windows-only. Also "Reflector Terminal mode is supported by Windows or Android with 3rd party apps." I really dislike Windows and don't have any Android devices, so this is all unfortunate for me, al
though I've dealt with it on Kenwood radios before.

IMHO, the 2 best software packages for ham radio are the DXLab Suite of programs & the N1MM+ Logger.

Yep, both closed-source Windows progs but both are top-notch & the binaries are available for free. No "in-app purchases", no "paid support tier".

And recall the demographics of the average (US) ham - not likely to be the type to use a non-Windows system.

That said, those 2 progs & a few other progs for my Icom & Uniden radios are why I have Windows at all.

It looks like the jury instructions in the Trump Manhattan case will soon be available in transcript form. When they are available I plan to analyze them.

Jury instructions are key. Not everything bad or immoral is a crime. To be convicted of a crime, the prosecution has to present evidence beyond a reasonable doubt to prove each element of a specific crime.

Because of how complicated this charging document is (predicate crimes for predicate crimes) the jury instructions will give the roadmap.

The defendant in the recent case that Has Been In All The Papers tried to make this NYS court rule a big deal. Was this a new rule just for this defendant? Or is it recent? Or does it go back decades or more and said defendant just doesn't know the rules?

If the latter, he could, maybe, hire counsel to explain it to him.

Today at set build, I was in charge of the small team that built this 7'x10' flat. Then after we were done, the director asked the producer if this flat was supposed to have a door in it. He checked his notes and realized it was, so we had to do some radical surgery to both the flat and a door.

I'm the end we got it done, but it was a busy, sweaty, and hectic day

My partner just bought a new Volvo XC90, and even the digital owner's manual in the dash is out of date vs what the car actually displays, which is nice.

Maybe this whole "ship cars without the software being finished" thing was a load of crap the whole time

There is a story, perhaps apocryphal, that #ConsumerReports tested a Tesla & rated the stopping distance as "not acceptable".

So Tesla allegedly fixed it by pushing out a FW update to all those cars.

… Changing the braking distance …

Needless to say, if true, it's Very Bad.

No new baby goats this morning (just the 4 from the last few days). The mama who's been gigantic for the last month is due today, so hopefully she'll have lots of healthy babies! I predict 4 (and I predict she'll have them at the most obnoxious time...I have lots of meetings today, but I have even more meetings tomorrow that are way less flexible, so today would be great!)
