Excuse me, but in what WORLD does this disinformatic crank's harmful opinion merit a top-of-page banner headline?

Journalistic malpractice by CNN

@gwensnyder Journalistic access issues once again overrule common sense, is the answer. They got a big interview. They have to promote it.

Meanwhile, RFK Jr's family members, including his sister, are busy making videos that support Biden.

BTW, also from CNN, Jake Tapper awhile back indicated he will not host a RFK Jr town hall because the last time it was a non-stop spewing of lies and conspiracy theories. But that doesn't slow CNN down elsewhere.... Wanna bet whether someone else does it?

@gwensnyder

Timothy Mellon is funding RFK Jr.

A Mellon that can afford a border wall that drowns migrant children, can afford to buy a headline in major media outlets.

@gwensnyder he got to talk on air for like 40 minutes last night on CNN. Which is, I’m not sure how anyone could willingly let that man talk for 40 minutes, even the sound of his voice isn’t okay to listen to for 40 minutes let alone what he’s saying. CNN is business, not journalism.

@gwensnyder Everyone's trying to court the right-wing viewers in case Fox News collapses from their defamation lawsuits.

  • summedrobin,

    @GhostOnTheHalfShell @gwensnyder The fact that we have large corporations in charge of our media sphere/interpersonal communications is kinda why we have a lot of problems in the world today. So, just saying "private companies don't need to respect freedom of speech" is kinda a problem. In the same way that they also don't need to respect the truth either.

    @summedrobin @GhostOnTheHalfShell @gwensnyder I think this about covers it. Not wanting someone on your platform has nothing to do with free speech.

    summedrobin,

    @kritischelezer @GhostOnTheHalfShell @gwensnyder I am not saying that they don't have the right to remove people. What I am saying is that it is bad that they have the right in the first place. Why are we letting the ZuckerMusk effectively have direct access/control over the "public square". Who elected them? What are their motivations?
