@schwa Apple's wireless stack (BT and WiFi) has been very unreliable in recent years.
I regularly find I have to turn WiFi off and back on to be able to make new connections (the connections to my other machines here are still live, so I know the network is basically working). Even connections to local IP addresses typed as an IP fail.
And then there is this gem: WiFi off, signal bars at full strength.
@schwa I have had BT issues on and off with my Apple keyboard and mouse. And with AirDrop between my Mac and my phone (although that could be just AirDrop). No way should their own hardware have compatibility issues.
As you say though, even if it is broken and sending garbage, the bluetoothd process shouldn't be crashing.
