ECLIPSE: 3:17:00 PM ☉︎ in 19° Aries : ☽︎ in 19° Aries. Made candles to commemorate the eclipse, played mantras to Ganesha, Lakshmi, and Shiva during peak darkness. Still amazing that a celestial event can bring everyone together to do one thing and witness it. Of course we will all go back to bickering, arguing and hating each other tomorrow, but for everyone in or near to the path of totality, they're all united as one to watch the heavenly ballet. I wonder though, about our neighbors. North America will not see another solar eclipse until 2044, and these barbie and ken bone-white bleached out beige bastards just went about their days like they were on autopilot. We were sitting on our deck with our goofy sunglasses and goofy drinks having a goofy time, but everyone else in the neighborhood either shut themselves up inside or did their normal daily routine. Leaf blowers. Arguments with the spouses. Soccer practice. Lacrosse practice. Softball practice. I have more kinship with the people who took time off work, paid extortionate prices and travelled to cities in the path of totality than the people who live next door. For pete's sake, look up from your grind and breathe in the glories of the universe!
