Continuing work on Ye Olde Tangara (now with Less Bulky Case), kitbashing together a mini HDMI monitor, fixing my old set of Logitech speakers to not be so damn bassy, swapping my new-old thinkpad over to USB-C power, having a big nap, uhhhh …
Also picked up a Synthstrom Deluge and loaded Gene Belcher's fart sample into it. Now to actually learn how to make noises other than fart sounds with it.
@stargirl Building a Voron 0 ( https://www.wirewd.com/make/voron0v2 ) which has devolved into a fastidious ansible+docker install of the Klipper stack and probably some rework on a broken SKR Pico so I can make a thirst-trap photo of what a 3D printer control board ought to look like and also probably a "guess how easy it is to make a Klipper-Expander like board on the breadboard" blog and if I'm lucky, maybe it'll be working this weekend.
@stargirl hey!
I'm working on 3 new eurorack modules... well, I'm trying to limit myself to just 3, to stay at least somehow focused, but the ideas keep coming 😅
@stargirl there'll be a trigger/gate recorder, a matrix router with a twist, and a CV processor (which is actually a collab with another modules manufacturer). all are in pretty early stage atm, so I don't have pics or demos to share yet :)
@MLE_online@stargirl Emily is the friend talking about repairing their bike in the story about why Mastodon is doomed because we all say she did a good job and it’s cool instead of buying things.
@c0dec0dec0de@stargirl how will this place stay running if cannondale isn't serving ads to people who liked my post about the new cannondale gear the company sent me to try out on my youtube channe?
@stargirl Playing around with optical modulators. It's switching between opaque and transparent to transmit a binary "Hello World". I want to try it out for some optical communications with drones
@stargirl I just taught my Rust based Disk Operating System to let applications open files and read from them. Now I want to let them write to the audio device.
@stargirl started working on my homebrew kernel/OS again, writing a slab allocator for kmalloc.
also building mk2 versions of the CO2 sensor boards for EMF Camp safety infrastructure, fixing a bunch of issues and adding a buck-boost to give steady 5V to the sensors regardless of how crappy the USB supplies are.
@stargirl learned how to sculpt miniatures, and finally reopened the synthesizer project and moved it forward. Then I opened a second synthesizer project and also moved that one forward!
@stargirl we've missed you, welcome back!
I'm still trying to pack as many tiny LEDs in as small as space as possible, and experimenting with different infill patterns in 3D printed diffusers: https://leds.social/@jasoncoon/112209644003812568
