@passthejoe they've come down a lot in price everywhere! i think it's mostly just mechanical switches are more the norm now where before they were only made in small batches. Only things I don't like about the one you listed are I'm not a fan of the layout with the extra windows keys but I could live with that, but it also only comes in brown or red linear switches (no tactile click on either, my error rate would be through the roof...) and lacks a keypad (which I use a LOT)
@passthejoe it just seems theres no real middle ground with keyboards anymore, nobody ever has an option that has the proper tactile keys and a keypad, but in good quality, without throwing in everything rgb and the kitchen sink.
Like I love everything about my WASD keyboard but I absolutely did not need nor want backlighting, it's just it's "there" if you want the better keys and better base....
@raptor85@passthejoe when you do the math, it ends up being about the same price as a Logitech G512 if you add in numeric keypad.
A US$30 (AU$80!!!) keyboard isn't just about capabilities, it's about longevity. I know my Logitech mechanical will last 5 years or so, but every cheap one has lasted 6-8 months, maximum
