So they've posted an update, but I wanted to ask around here, because audacity had taken some problematic steps in the past.

Is it radioactive or not?

@GhostOnTheHalfShell What hasn't been as widely reported is that all the steps towards telemetry have been walked back. Audacity now has no telemetry, and it's crash reporting/update notification function is the same you'd find in VLC, Libreoffice, ...
