Exactly that, yes - in a well ventilated space, the CO2 will be lower due to a good inflow of outdoors air, while in poorly ventilated & crowded spaces the CO2 climbs very quickly. It can actually be quite startling when you start taking a CO2 monitor around to different places. @augieray
