"Zombie" by the Cranberries was about an IRA bombing where children were killed. It was banned when released, attacked by all sides of The Troubles (especially by those with a vested interest in the carnage continuing.) Author and singer Dolores O'Riordan said it wasn't partisan, it was humanitarian. Just stop the killings, stop murdering innocents.

Which IMO is what the college protests are about. Yes, there are noxious bigot crazies, however mostly it's about stop the slaughter.

@bobmorris If I have my numbers right, Hamas kidnapped 235 people, returned about 60, and the Israeli government says they believe 35 are dead.

Over 30,000 Palestinian civilians have been killed since October 7, many of them reporters, hospital personnel, and children. The disproportionately cruel response is what's bringing people out in the streets and setting up tents.
