People stopped speaking Hebrew between 200 and 400 CE, and it remained only as a liturgical language until the 19th Century, much like Latin remained in the Church during the Dark and Middle Ages in Europe. Am I to understand that because Hebrew is "the Holy Language", northern Europeans who revived Hebrew as a spoken liturgical language in the 1800s are justified in a military occupation of Palestine?
