Damn it, I can't move on from #TheLegendOfShenLi . The only drama that did that to me was Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Took me weeks to get over that one.
It's a little puzzling cos Shen Li had a lot of flaws that I disliked, but the positives overpowered it. I loved Lin Geng Xin's performance (oddly was warned that he's a bad actor) and loved his character's Xing Zhi's arc so, so much. I resonate with his struggle with loneliness and desire for a simple life with loved ones.
@liztai Lin was amazing! Who dares to besmirch that carefully controlled and cerebral performance - such a pro. Amazed how he can communicate wry impishness with just a flick of an eye...
@AnnaAnthro yea I was puzzled by the criticism too. Or maybe cos my standards have fallen so low 🤭😆. Anyone that could make me shed a tear is a good actor in my book.
My fav expression of his is him sulking when Shen Li is 'lets get back to work' after they had their passionate night 🤭
