@sinbad I've spent way too long just flipping the toggle switches on my HOTAS Warthog throttle. Really good solid thunk sound/feel.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Maybe they're not flipped as easily as just walking over a case and stepping on the topside power button, but the way it sticks out I wouldn't be surprised if cats operate it either with a paw or by rubbing their heads against it..

(I think the optimum is just a regular old push button, just one that isn't on the top but the front or side)

@Doomed_Daniel well, they’ve never flipped my coffee machine switches but they pat vertical surfaces too when they think they see something

@sinbad Front/side pushbuttons should probably be the kind that must be pushed in for > 5mm or so, not the 1mm clicky kind.

Somehow I have a very specific image in my mind's eye of my cat rubbing her head against that kind of toggle switch, probably near her mouth, with the mouth slightly open.. but maybe she wouldn't, or she's just different from your cats ;)

Or maybe they generally stay away from your coffee gear because it makes scary noises?
