I gave Tilemap Town a simple tile animation feature, where the tileset PNG can have a horizontal strip of animation frames and the game plays through them at a constant (but selected per-tile) rate. You can do forwards, backwards, and ping-pong animation, and it works in combination with autotiling.

I also in the same update made it so that you can control what animation you see (entities, tiles, both, or neither), and made it so that the options you pick actually save properly now.
