@2ch I'd be surprised if busybox ed(1) isn't much better than either heirloom or suckless version.

busybox vi though just sucks.

@2ch Well in any case busybox requires gcc/clang so for a tcc+musl bootstrapping environment it's a nope.

heirloom one either weirdly changes of syntax when it gets commands from stdin rather than a tty, or has some bug.
Just switched to suckless ed and now it works as expected.

@2ch I think it's implementation of the c command is broken, could try again but well I don't really feel like debugging heirloom given it's pure lack of maintenance since something like 2007.

So far I'd say bootstrapping is a bit like Minecraft one block challenge but hard mode.
