If you think having the body of a man makes you a man, then you have absolutely no clue what it feels like to wake up every day in a body that does not match who you are.

I was raised as a man I was asked to conform and tried to conform. The only thing it has achieved is depression and that feeling of having to perform a daily lie to satisfy others.

I am way too old to worry about what others may think of me, and way too old to apologize to anyone for being myself. It took me more than 30 long years to unpack all of this, so if all you have to say is you have the body of a man that is who you are...

Please do me a favor and keep your mouth shut because you have no idea what you are talking about. And does any of this make me less relevant to talk about the subject of this account?

This is who I am and part of my journey to master the art of composting. If I had to make an analogy it would be a little bit like saying hey the pile stinks bad, well never mind put it on the soil anyway.

It is never good to assume things on a topic you have not experienced before.

I respect you and recognize you are who you know yourself to be. My parents always taught me that with people "it's what's inside that counts". I don't think they were intending to apply it in this specific way, but logically it is an extension of that core idea.

You are who you know yourself to be. That's the real you.

With love and respect. Thanks for what you contribute and share with us.

What exasperates the crap out of me is all of those people who are bothered by trans people despite the fact that it does not concern them.

Thank you for those kind words if we fuck up the climate and the planet we live on with all due respect the lgbtq question will be the last of our concerns and maybe a few of those people will be here to help you out.

@compost I am and have been happy to follow you on your journey. Following you here on Mastodon has kept the topic of composting and soil at the top of my mind for the past year or two. I've learned a few things too. I appreciate that. I hadn't given a whole lot of thought to who's behind this anonymous account. But it's easy to guess that you're passionate, kind, and an exemplar of a dozen different good qualities. I'm sorry that someone made you feel the need to make this post. Boo to them.

The truth is, if you want to talk about a subject like composting, you have to be inclusive, you have to be open-minded, and you have to develop the social skills to create a community and explain to others that their actions can make a difference.

Life has not always been kind to me and adversity has taught me one thing, if I want to achieve my goals in life it will be without the help of a lot of people.

If I had to earn money every time I had to read horrors about trans people I would be rich, and to be successful in life, I have to not end up like those who think they are righteous and in the name of it can be nasty and entitled.
