OK...I just had a very interesting doctor's appointment, and it has a bit of good news regarding my disability payment situation with my insurance company.
While inside with my doc, I asked her if she had received the letter put forth by my insurance company regarding their "independent review" of my situation which they used to justify cancelling my benefit payments back in January. She said that she had heard nothing, and then fetched the office secretary to attempt to retrieve the letter...
....they sent. She then went on with the examination and then dismissed me to the waiting room for me to receive my prescription, a receipt for the appointment (I pay no fees because I am on Medicaid), and a card with a date for my next scheduled appointment.
That was over....or so I though.
Around 10 minutes later, I was called back in and placed in one of the outpatient rooms to wait for my doctor; who then arrived with the letter they sent her.
And, she basically, in her usual professional way, went OFF on the company's review, because it, according to her, completely bungled my condition, and totally ignored her analysis of my medical condition which confirmed her belief that I was not fit to return to active work.
She said that she was already working on a response to them where she would send them updated medical records justifying her position and helping me restore my benefits...but she could send it to them only after...
...they had reimbursed her for the cost of sending the records over. She also asked me to call them tomorrow and ask them to call her personally so she could give them the information verbally as well. I will write a brief letter to my claims representative explaining everything and asking them to call my doctor's office tomorrow to update them and also make arrangements to fax them the updated records.
At least I now know that my doc has my back and is fighting for me.
It looks better for me getting my benefits restored than it ever did inm a very long time.
In the meantime, though, I still have no income and lots of bills and expenses, my rent which comes due next Tuesday, a myriad of bills, and the major critical utility bills that come in the final week of May.
I still would like to raise $2,000 total by next week to have enough to clear all these expenses.
You have been so helpful to me throughout this time. Please, keep the intensity! Thank you!!
Still stuck at $0/$600 for immediate right-now needs like rent due next Monday + current bills + food/$2,000 total for major end-of-month utility bills coming due soon.

I am attempting to get this done as soon as possible so that I don't get pressed to the wall next Monday when it comes due and I have to stress out hoping nothing bad happens.
