@GryphonSK

Privileged people who can't see their own privilege generally don't have much empathy for those who don't have it, unfortunately. 😢

mmalc,
gentrifiedrose,

@GryphonSK Why do people think getting what you work for isn't privlege? I guess because they learn throughout their lives that getting things you work for is a gaurantee. Its not. No one is entitled to anything.

@gentrifiedrose Even under capitalism, as originally intended, everyone is supposed to get exactly what they work for, no more, no less. Just because exploitation has become accepted, doesn't mean it's correct.

gentrifiedrose,

@GryphonSK IMO that definition is very exploitative because people then get to determine what is and what isn't valuable.

GryphonSK,

@gentrifiedrose It is up to the workers to determine, since they are doing the work.

@GryphonSK That is false: privilege is not that. Privilege is not that you can do things in an easy way, is not let another people can do same things in the same east way.

GryphonSK,
@GryphonSK@techhub.social avatar

@forza4 That's exactly what it means.

juliant,

@GryphonSK I think of this in terms of headwinds and tailwinds. It's not always easy to tell when you have a tailwind helping you, and hard to appreciate that others have to work against a headwind.
