I've found exceptional and flavorful vegan Mexican food that I love!
"Hijo de su Madre" in LA, "Om Sabor" in SF
Basically I like thoughtful vegan versions of cuisines I already like, and I will always stay away from 'health food' things even though sometimes the overlap drives me nuts (I really dislike health food and culty woo woo things)
@skinnylatte LOL! This is all so funny. I actually love a lot of vegan “health food”, but maybe that’s because I was born and raised in culty woo woo Bay Area. Om Sabor is tops tho!
I’ve been vegan for more than half my life and the main thing I hate about it is loud preachy vegans giving us all a bad reputation by forcing everyone to feel bad about what they eat.
@fadersolo haha, i think it's a philosophical divide i will never cross. i do not like bland food in any form. or raw vegetables. so glad there are other options. the vegan foods that have flavors i know and love are far more doable for me.
@eco_amandine the saddest thing i ever read was about some old lady with alzheimers who forgot her family but remembered she should not eat something in case she gets 'fat'
