I am a fan of Star Trek Discovery, but even I can admit that some of the writing has always been a bit weak. When it’s good it’s really good, but when it’s not it’s like head scratching bad.

@collin this whole season has felt like B grade fan fiction. They’ve given up.

@Ryanbigg there are parts I’ve liked, but also parts that have really had me scratching my head.

Like once they had the first couple map pieces and Mal and Lak had none, how did that not forestall them finding the tech forever? I’m sure there’s an answer for how it was possible for them to get it in the future, but it was not well explained.

Also, having Rayner aboard has made the Disco look like a workplaces that calls everyone family. Why is it wrong for him to just want to do his job?

@collin as in why does it seem impossible for an entire trained and armed crew to capture one person? Yeah.

@dsully there’s a lot of examples, but it’s one of the only times with Star Trek where I have to not think about certain things too much because they break the show if I do.
