@mike@dave selling domains (lol). It's a good question though. The company can't last forever without a monetization and I'd be surprised if ATproto gets any big time adopters. It'll all fizzle in a few years thanks to mass APub adoption and threads taking market share imo.
@sass@dave Yes, selling domains was one them. I think if Threads follows through with full two way AP federation that's definately a blow for AT. I'm also skeptical about ATs decentralization model. I think when the well starts to run dry you'll see ads pushed out on BlueSky.
